In this lesson, you will look at your classmates’ presentations about decolonization movements and give them helpful feedback.
You will use a tool called Pear Deck to look at and respond to your classmates’ presentations. Here’s what you need to do:
Look carefully at each classmate’s presentation
Think about what they did well and what could be better
Give at least 3 helpful comments to each classmate
Your comments should be kind and specific
Pear Deck is a tool that lets you:
See your classmates’ presentations
Answer questions about what you see
Type your thoughts and feedback
Share your ideas with the class
This activity helps you:
Think deeply about decolonization and nationalism
Learn to give helpful feedback to others
See different ways people can present the same topic
Understand your classmates’ points of view
When giving feedback, try to:
Start with something positive (“I like how you…”)
Be specific about what worked well
Give suggestions that would make it even better
Ask questions if something wasn’t clear
Remember that good feedback helps your classmates improve their work. Your ideas are important, and sharing them helps everyone learn more about these important historical movements.
